He called it “to be re-educated by peasants and workers”; many of them were killed or forced to commit a suicide;

  4. Mao and the World Mao tried to fight with capitalistic western counties and help developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Although China was extremely poor itself, Mao gave those countries $20,000,000,000 in his life.

  5. 毛泽东的家庭 毛泽东有四个妻子, 六个儿子和四个女儿. Most of them died at very young age. The death of his oldest son was a big blow to him. Jiang Qing, his last wife, was the head of the “Gang of Four” and very notorious in the history.

  7. A Poem By Mao SnowNorth country scene:A hundred leagues locked in ice,A thousand leagues of whirling snow.Both side of the Great WallOne single white immensity.The Yellow River's swift currentIs stilled from end to end.The mountains dance silver snakesAnd the highland charge like wax-hued elephants.Vying with heaven in stature.On a fine day, the land,Clad in white, adorned in red,Crows more enchanting.This land so rich in beautyHas made countless heroes bow in homage.But alas! Qin Shihuang and Han WudiWere lacking in literary grace,And Tang Taizong and Song TaizuHad little poetry in their souls;That proud son of Heaven,Genghis Khan,Knew only shooting eagles, bow outstretched.All are past and gone!For truly great menLook to this age alone.
