Resource discovery module uses SLP to probe for new service agents and register them to a local database (printer pool), maintain sessions and/or deregister service agents.
RFID tag readers capable of reading tags in proximity provide location context using SIP PUBLISH messages.
The Context Aggregation module receives the PUBLISH message and stores it into the Context Repository
The User Presence module keeps track of current subscribers to the printing service and uses NOTIFY requests to submit updates in the status of a printer during printing. It stores active SUBSCRIBERS to the User Regsitry database.
Each service agent is a combination of a printer with a software agent. It uses SIP/SIMPLE to PUBLISH updates about the status of the printers to the Context Aggregation module and uses SLP to get discovered by the Context Broker.
The decision module accepts print requests via the SIP INFO message and responds to requests using a similar message carrying the Service Agent’s IP address.
2. Client gets a confirmation of subscription.
Execution of the decision algorithm starts in the decision module, triggered by an incoming print request.
