  2. Animal Moose • Moose feed on leaves and other plants. They eat 50 pounds per day. • In the summer a moose's favourite spot is little forest next to a lake. The wolf is a common predator. • The moose can weigh up to 1800 pounds and has a height up to 6 feet and also has a length up to 8 feet

  3. Animal Big horn sheep • The Big horn sheep is a large North American species with a brown coat, which turns into a blush-grey in winter • It is named from the size of the horns of the ram, which often measure over 1 m/3.3 feet round the curve.

  4. Animal Mountain Goat • The mountain goat lives in rocky mountain areas. The coat is white and on the chin is a double beard of long hair. • The greatest cause of death is is in the winter when they can't get any food.

  5. Animal Grizzly Bear • The Grizzly Bear is threatened with extinction in the United States. • Grizzly bears usually avoid contact with humans they are sometimes unpredictable and should be given lots of space.

  6. Animal Elk • North American elk are divided into subspecies of the red deer. There are four subspecies of elk in North American today:Manitoban , Tule, Roosevelt's , and the Rocky Mountain. Two of the original subspecies are extinct: The Eastern elk and the Merriam's elk.

  7. Animal • Pikas are small mammals, related to rabbits. To find a pika, pay close attention when you are walking near a rock pile or boulder field in the mountains.If you hear a high pitched "Eeek!" sit still for a while and you will see this small creature scurry from rock to rock. Pika

  8. Animal • The mountain lion is large and slender.The mountain lion eats moose, white tailed deer, caribou,and the mountain lion eats smaller creatures.Their fur is dark brown and a goldish colour. Mountain Lion

  9. Animal Coyote • The coyote is a varies from a greyish brown to a yellowish gray on the upper parts and the belly is white. • They are normally found throughout the Rocky Mountains.

  10. Animal • The Woodland Caribou is black with brown antlers. • They eat the grass and the trees lichens. • The adult bulls weigh 270 kilograms. The adult cows are 115 kilograms. Woodland Caribou

  11. Animal Black Bear • The black bears are usually black with a brown. A male bear is about 130 to 198 centimetres. The female bears are 130 to 190 centimetres

Animal Porcupine • The common porcupine is entirely vegetarian.The winter and fall diet mainly is evergreen needles and cambium layer and inner bark of the trees.During the summer and spring they eat mainly buds, tender twigs, roots, stems, leaves, flowers, berries, nuts,and other vegetation.
