  1. Why should you freeze or cryo-preserve your embryos? By Best IVF Doctors in Delhi According to Best IVF Doctors in Delhi by Baby Joy IVF, today many women are looking for the option of egg freezing and there are many reasons behind this. Women are born with a limited number of eggs, which decrease with age, increasing the likelihood of infertility. A woman's ovary can produce quality eggs in the reproductive age of 20-35 years. After 35 years, the good quality and quantity of eggs starts decreasing. So, if there is a pre-existing medical condition that may directly affect the woman or directly affect the health of her eggs or if not able to plan a pregnancy due to career pressures or life goals, Egg freezing may be the most practical option in this situation. Egg freezing, or oocyte cryopreservation, is a method of storing a woman's fertility for the future. In this process, the mature and fertilized eggs of the woman are removed from the ovaries and frozen. The process of egg freezing preserves the healthy eggs of women. This process is naturally used during difficult pregnancies. 1.In most cases the embryos are preserved because at the time of your IVF cycle, you have extra embryos. These can be used later, if you are not successful in a fresh attempt or they can be used to plan for another child. Since embryos can be stored for any length of time. 2.Another reason for freezing embryos may be the risk of OHSS in the fresh cycle. In such situations the embryo may be frozen and transferred to the next cycle to reduce the risk of complications due to OHSS. 3.There may be cases where there is presence of polyp which is seen during stimulation cycle, in such cases also we preserve embryos and transfer them after removal of polyp by hysteroscopy. 4.Embryos can be preserved before taking women for more invasive operative procedures such as large endometriomas prior to adenomyosis or fibroid

  2. surgery. 5.Embryos may be preserved in cases of previous IVF failure due to defective implantation, when fresh embryo transfer has not been successful due to an asynchrony between the developing fatal endometrium. 6.Embryos are preserved even after pre-genetic embryo biopsy PGS, PGD, PG- A. 7.In case of cancer, there is a need to take chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Before going through any such procedure, you have an option to preserve your gametes if you have not completed your family. 8.If you want to postpone labour for any reason and do not want to conceive, embryos or eggs can be preserved in an IVF lab.
