Moved to Yale; Faculty Fellow Fully developed culture media for aquatic bugs Cultivated axenic culture of ulvacean greens Studied bacterial influence on algae morphogenesis Also worked with shrimp Artenia and water fly Moina Cultured the flatworm Convoluta (symbiotic with green algae) Founding editor of the Journal of Phycology (inaugurated 1965) Progress

  4. Later Years • Retired in 1978, research efforts continued • Cardiac surgery, retired to Italy with wife, Rose • Passed away in 1992
