  5. What do we do? Schedule classes Help with a variety of problems: Bullying Locker Friends Family Bus …And anything else that you might need help with 

  6. Health Issues Special Medical Concerns -Please complete medical paperwork Medications -Student are not allowed to transport medications, Parents must bring them in

  7. The School Day • School begins at 7:47 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m. • Students may enter the main hall and classroom wings at 7:32. • Before 7:32 students may wait in the side hallways

  8. School Schedule 1st Hour: 7:47-8:49 2nd Hour: 8:54-9:52 3rd Hour: 9:57-10:55 6th Grade- A Lunch: 10:55-11:25 4th Hour: 11:25-12:24 5th Hour: 12:29-1:27 6th Hour: 1:32-2:30

  10. School Breakfasts & Lunches • Breakfast is available starting at 7:32 in the cafeteria. Cereal, Milk, Juice, etc. may be purchased for $1.35. • There are three lunch periods at the middle school. • All sixth grade students eat together. • Sixth grade lunch is scheduled from 10:55-11:25. • Students will have three options for lunch: • Bring your own lunch. In addition milk, juice, chips, yogurt, etc. may be purchased. • Buy separate items- pizza, sandwich, fries, salad, etc. • Buy a hot lunch or salad for $2.50.   11. The Greatest Predictors of Success are: • Good Attendance • Completed Homework • Be involved: Check your students attendance and grades on ParentWeb daily • Communication with student & teachers

  12. The username is your child’s seven digit student ID number, either starting in 100 or 111. The password is the last four digits of your child’s social security number. PowerParent Access Information

Tips for Success • Buy a combination lock for practice • Encourage a clutter free locker • Come to schedule pick up- walk through schedule • Practice opening locker • Be an informed Parent- check PowerParent, read monthly newsletters, teacher Blogs • Encourage your child to get involved in one school activity • Assist your child with time management

  16. Survivor Camp • This day camp is offered to all incoming 6th graders prior to the start of the school year. • Offered through Community Ed. and is fee-based. • For more information, please call 591-4388.
