    1. Keys to Kingdom Living

    2. And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. 2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: 3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matt 5:1-3 (NKJV)

    3. Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Matt 5:4-6 (NKJV)

    4. Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Matt 5:7-9 (NKJV)

    5. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matt 5:10-12 (NKJV)

    6. The Beatitudes are divided into two groups. The first group deals with personal relations The second group deals with social qualities

    7. Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall." Matt 7:24-27 (NKJV)

    8. There are two things that need to happen in your life in order for you to stand still in the storms of life. You must hear what God says

    9. There are two things that need to happen in your life in order for you to stand still in the storms of life. You must hear what God says You must do what He tells you to do

    10. Look at how the Word comes into your life By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. Psalms 33:6 (NKJV) “mouth” speaks of the Holy Spirit.

    11. The Word without the Spirit will produce formalism. The Spirit without the Word will produce fanaticism.

    12. Another way of stating this truth is as follows: The Word alone you will dry up, the Spirit alone you will blow up. If you have both you will grow up.

    13. Jesus had both. “The words I speak , they are both spirit and life.” “Be doers of the word, not hearers of it only.” James 1:22

    14. If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority. John 7:17 (NKJV)

    15. Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' Matt 7:21-23 (NKJV)

    16. 1. Poor in Spirit Don’t be self-sufficient Depend on God Trust in Him

    17. For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist," Says the Lord. "But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word. Isaiah 66:2 (NKJV)

    18. So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, 2 and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. 3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon's, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. Luke 5:1-3 (NKJV)

    19. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." 5 But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net." 6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. Luke 5:4-6 (NKJV)

    20. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!" Luke 5:7-8 (NKJV)

    21. 2. They that mourn Cry out for deliverance Don’t be self motivated

    22. For innumerable evils have surrounded me; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; They are more than the hairs of my head; Therefore my heart fails me. 13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me; O Lord, make haste to help me! Psalms 40:12-13 (NKJV)

    23. Do you hate your sins? If you do that’s good, you are mourning. You are on the right track.

    24. We can only obey by the power of the Spirit. I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord," And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Psalms 32:5 (NKJV)

    25. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:7-10 (NKJV)

    26. 3. Blessed are the meek. Those who don’t get even. Not self important Submit to God

    27. Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman. 2 So they said, "Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?" And the Lord heard it. 3 (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.) 4 Num 12:1-4 (NKJV)

    28. Then the Lord came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam. And they both went forward. 6 Then He said, "Hear now My words: "If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. Num 12:5-6 (NKJV)

    29. Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. 8 I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant Moses?" Num 12:7-8 (NKJV)

    30. So the anger of the Lord was aroused against them, and He departed. 10 And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam became leprous, as white as snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper. Num 12:9-10 (NKJV)

    31. So Aaron said to Moses, "Oh, my lord! Please do not lay this sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned. 12 Please do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb!" 13 So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, "Please heal her, O God, I pray!" Num 12:11-13 (NKJV)

    32. A meek man will pray for his enemies Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth"; 23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 1 Peter 2:22-23 (NKJV)

    33. So what is meekness? A Psalm of David. Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. 3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Psalms 37:1-3 (NKJV)

    34. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. 6 He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Psalms 37:4-6 (NKJV)

    35. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret--it only causes harm. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth. 10 For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, But it shall be no more. 11 But the meek shall inherit the earth, Psalms 37:7-11 (NKJV)

    36. Meekness is essential for receiving from God. Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden In the day of the Lord's anger. Zeph 2:3 (NKJV)

    37. Here is a promise: The poor shall eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the Lord. Let your heart live forever! Psalms 22:26 (NKJV)

    38. How do we receive? Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matt 11:28 (NKJV)

    39. 4. Hunger for righteousness. Not seeking self righteousness. Only God satisfies.

    40. Paul said, “that I may know him”. O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. 2 So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. 3 Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Psalms 63:1-3 (NKJV)

    41. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. 5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. 6 When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches. 7 Because You have been my help, Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. 8 My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me. Psalms 63:4-8 (NKJV)

    42. How does this happen? As we seek Him, His righteousness comes. Result? You will be satisfied!
