Literary Analysis Reminders • Use present tense when detailing narration • Make sure to credit your sources! • Context, quote, explain how quote fits into thesis • Use literary critique in every body paragraph • You must use all five sources in your paper • You may only use a summary site (like Salem Press) ONCE. • Make sure the paper is ¾ your words • Italicize Beowulf the epic but not Beowulf the name • Include slash for line breaks in epic quotes • Avoid words like great, nice, cute, etc
