  11. NCLB • Current AYP targets will stay in place through 2014 • New accountability system to accompany Common Core Standards assessments • New testing system will likely include a growth component • Possible correlation between MAP data and CCS data

Missouri Common Core Standards Rollout Schedule Department creates crosswalk between communication arts and mathematics v2.0 GLEs/CLEs and Common Core Statewide Professional Development on curriculum adjustment to Common Core Goal for early statewide administration of Common Core Operational assessments Fall 2010 Spring 2011 2011-12 2012-13 2013-14 2014-15 Informational Day-long Sessions held in 7 locations throughout the state Goal for early administration of Common Core Field-test assessments Federal requirement for administration of Common Core Operational assessments by all states

  13. Smarter Balance Assessment Consortium (SBAC) • Missouri is 1 of 17 governing states • Current EOC tests might not fit into CCS testing system • Formative & Summative CCS assessments
