  1. Forward Physics at RHIC • Physics Opportunities for forward physics discussed at workshop last week. • Forward physics is being explored to some degree at RHIC by BRAHMS (charged identified hadrons) STAR (0 ), (PHOBOS) dN/d and from ZDC,PCAL measurements. • Physics opportunities exist for additional measurements at RHIC that are not covered in the present program, and should lead to new measurements with existing or modified detectors.

  2. Heavy Ions • Gluon saturation scale are best explored at forward rapidities corresponding to small x. Even though the present RHIC data do not require CGC, the approach is an intriguing description of strong interactions and offers a connection between RHIC, HERA and eRHIC. • Extended measurements at forward rapidities offer additionaltest. Particular p(d)-A, and A-d(p). • The Universality observed for Limiting Fragmentation points to simple physics at large y,. What is relation for identified hadrons. • Missing information to the understanding of baryon transport via  and neutron measurements. • Relation to Cosmic ray physics • Large uncertainties in knowledge on atmospheric interactions, in particular inelasticity parameter. Regions of particular interest are large xF (0.4-0.9) andlighter ion beams (Fe, N, p)

  3. Forward Spin Physics • Large Rapidity g-jet may provide interesting corners of phase space to probe gluon polarization (ALL). • Needed measurements in Transverse polarization (AN) • analyzing power for + and - . • pT dependence for fixed xF • Analyzing power for jet production • Other opportunities are present in diffractive physics and Ultra peripheral collisions. • “Fixed Target” physics is also forward.
