  6. Rabbinical rulings:“Orthodox Judaism considers watering plants (even accidentally) a violation of the Sabbath. For this reason, some sources recommend putting flooring down if a sukkah is constructed on grass, in case of spilled drinks.”

  13. Rabbinical Tradition: Israel also dwells in sukkotafter being freed from bondage.(i.e., sukkot are a place of freedom.)

  14. Shemote (Exodus) 12:36-3836 And YHWH had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.

  15. Shemote (Exodus) 12:36-3837 Then the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Sukkot, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides children. 38 A mixed multitude went up with them also, and flocks and herds — a great deal of livestock.

  22. Devarim (Deuteronomy) 16:13-1713 "You shall observe the Feast of Tabernacles seven days, when you have gathered from your threshing floor and from your winepress.(First tithe)

  23. Devarim (Deuteronomy) 16:13-17 14 And you shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant and the Levite, the stranger and the fatherless and the widow, who are within your gates. (Third tithe for the poor,Two years in seven)

  24. The Second Tithe was so the people could go up to Jerusalem three times a year, and buy gifts (make it a joy).

  25. Devarim (Deuteronomy) 16:15-17 15 Seven days you shall keep a set-apart feast to YHWH your Elohim in the place which YHWH chooses, because YHWH your Elohim will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you surely rejoice.

Devarim (Deuteronomy) 16:15-17 16 "Three times a year all your males shall appear before YHWH your Elohim in the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Tabernacles; and they shall not appear before YHWH empty-handed.(second tithe pays for the trip)

  27. Devarim (Deuteronomy) 16:15-17 17 “Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of YHWH your Elohim which He has given you.”(1. Support the priesthood2. Children have fun3. Poor, widows, orphans [years 3, 6])

  28. Tithes are not mandatory in the Renewed Covenant, but the principle isthat we should be eager to helpfurther Yahweh’s work.(Great Commission, Fivefold.)

  30. Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:33-4433 Then YHWH spoke to Moshe, saying, 34 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Sukkot for seven days to YHWH.

  31. Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:33-4435 On the first day there shall be a set-apart gathering. You shall do no customary work on it. (35) בַּיּוֹם הָרִאשׁוֹן מִקְרָא קֹדֶשׁ כָּל מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ

  32. Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:33-4436 For seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to YHWH. On the eighth day you shall have a set-apart gathering, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to YHWH. It is a set-apart assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it.

  33. Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:33-4437 'These are the feasts of YHWH which you shall proclaim to be set-apart gatherings (מִקְרָאֵי קֹדֶש), to offer an offering made by fire to YHWH, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, everything on its day,ׁ

  38. Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:33-4441 You shall keep it as a feast to YHWH for seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

  39. Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:33-4442 You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths, (42)בַּסֻּכֹּת תֵּשְׁבוּ שִׁבְעַת יָמִים כָּל הָאֶזְרָח בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל יֵשְׁבוּ בַּסֻּכֹּת

  42. Interpretation:How do we ‘dwell’ in sukkot?(How do we ‘rest’ on Shabbat?)

  43. Blowing the shofar:3 Blow in the New Moon Day a shofar, in the kesehon the day of our pilgrimage feast.(4) תִּקְעוּ בַחֹדֶשׁ שׁוֹפָר | בַּכֵּסֶה לְיוֹם חַגֵּנוּ

  44. ‘Keseh’ is disputed: OT:3677 (keh-seh); apparently from OT:3680;properly, fullness or the full moon, i.e.its festival: KJV - (time) appointed.

  45. OT:3680 kacah (kaw-saw'); a primitiveroot; properly, to plump, i.e. fill up hollows; by implication, to cover (for clothing or secrecy*):KJV - cladself, close, clothe, conceal,cover (self), (flee to) hide, overwhelm.Compare OT:3780.(cannot be new moon, because it must be ‘plump’)

  46. OT:3780 kasah (kaw-saw'); a primitive root; to grow fat (i.e. be covered with flesh):KJV - be covered. Compare OT:3680.(so what does this mean?)
