  3. Mercury Storage • For more options when reuse occurs, distill the mercury to high purity • Package mercury in new steel flasks. Be sure no mercury is spilled on outside of container. Residual mercury will give off vapor. • Store indoors in areas with treated floors, seamless in case of accidental spills. • Monitor storage with vapor detectors. • Be sure floor capacity is sufficient for weight.
