  2. Focus • Focus on your GPA. Take the most challenging classes you can handle. • Hope Scholarship: You must have a 3.00 gpa at the end of the senior year (receive $2800). • Life Scholarship: (2 of 3) 3.00 gpa and top 30% of class/or 1100 on SAT or 24 on ACT (receive $5000)

  3. GET READY!! HSAP IS COMING • Spring 2014: April 1-3 • The HSAP is based on the South Carolina state standards, which defines what students should be learning each year. • HSAP measures critical thinking skills, math-problem solving skills and writing skills • Students must pass the HSAP to graduate from high school.   5. Start • Start a list of colleges to consider. • Be sure to go to any college fairs offered in your area. • Use Virtual tours and begin thinking about which colleges you would like to visit in-depth.

  6. Update • Update your records of activities • volunteer work • programs • classes and traveling • Document this information to have when needing recommendations and completing scholarships and college applications.

  7. Review • Review and revise your goals…..set new ones.

  8. Think • Think careers! Talk to people about their jobs. Job Shadow.

  10. Academic Letter Requirements • Yearly GPA of 3.5 • Enrolled at CCHS at least 90 days • No unexcused absences • Less than (6) total absences • No infractions or, with administrator approval, two infractions
