  4. Roleplay Exercise • Which was easier to follow? • How do you think the listener felt during the first conversation? • What helped in the second conversation?

  5. Allow Time Use key words Think of what is going on around you both

  6. Pick some cues that will help get the message across Use all modes of communication e.g. gesture Use visual supports

  7. Use visual supports within social stories to help in getting complex messages or new ideas across e.g. going to the hospital.
