  2. Reports in the Medical Office • Reports are an important tool in managing a medical practice • Information contained in the reports is key to the administrative and financial areas of a practice

  3. Reports in the Medical Office • Common types of reports include • Day Sheets • Analysis Reports • Aging Reports • Patient Ledgers

  4. Day Sheets • Day sheet reports provide information about activity in a practice for a given day • The reports can be organized by • Patient • Procedure • Payment

  5. Patient Day Sheets • A Patient Day Sheet lists all transactions for a single day, listed in alphabetical order by a patient’s chart number

  6. Procedure Day Sheets • A Procedure Day Sheet lists all transactions for a single day, listed in numerical order by procedure code

  7. Payment Day Sheets • A Payment Day Sheet lists all payments made on a single day, listed by provider

  8. Analysis Reports • Medisoft provides several analysis reports, including: • Billing/Payment Status • Practice Analysis Report

  9. Analysis Reports • The Billing/Payment Status report lists the status of all transactions that have responsible insurance carriers, showing who has paid and who has not been billed.

  10. Analysis Reports • The Practice Analysis Report analyzes the revenue of a practice over a specified period of time, such as a month
