  7. Know your settings... • Larger text • Speak Selection • Guided Access • iCloud settings • Switch Access (iOS7) • Where's the mute? • Restrictions • Voice input (Siri) - iPad 3 or 4 or air • iTunes accounts - loading and unloading

  8. Quick and easyPull up from the bottom • Sound - volume and music • lock rotation • WiFi • Airplay • Camera • Clock - great visual feature

Basic Email • Sometimes the most consistent way to share information from the iPad • Create a work account (gmail) that you can use with kids • Contacts - can easily work with minimal contacts • You can manage multiple accounts • With settings - students can voice dictate and "read" messages • Use photos and videos - the new journal

  10. Pictures - how to get them • Take them with the camera app • Download them from the net - Google images • Take a screen shot • All will store to Photos

  11. iCloud • Know the basics • Share photos between devices • Back up all work on pages - word processor, keynote - presentation, iMovie - video Notes - written notes • Use Facetime - iMessage • Easily track and back up all of your personal apps/information

  13. Dropbox • Creates "copies" of files instantly • Access tools directly from your iPad, computer or any web browser • most common link for apps to send/back up information

  14. Google Drive • The new Google Docs • Immediate access to all documents and files • GoDocs app to work offline

  15. ideas for the clouds... • share files with parents - easily save information that is shared with everyone • Collaborate with teachers/other therapists on curriculum, daily activities • store files that you need access to from anywhere • store student work for easy sharing • Many apps share information with cloud based services

  16. Vimeo • Save and store all your videos so they aren't on your device • You can password protect them so you can save students • You can share links rather than sending the video

  18. Not content specific • Can use a single app for many functions • You put any information in and use it • Select apps that allow you to CREATE YOUR OWN • Select apps that can be shared easily - data collection
