  1. Chinese Poker Rules

  2. There are many fans of poker worldwide. Due to its popularity, many variants have arrived that make the game diverse, fun and unique. Every variant has a different style of playing and contains different rules for players to follow. Many are experts at a gaming version, whereas some are still progressing. Every game teaches new tricks and techniques which can be used to win the following matches. Chinese poker is a unique variant of the game that does not resemble the other forms of poker (like Hold’em, Omaha, or Stud), in terms of gameplay. The poker hand rankings remain the same, but there is a twist here. Each player is given 13 cards instead of 2. Each of these cards is divided into three different poker hands – 2 hands containing 5 cards and one hand containing 3 cards. Players try to make cards for the best rank in each hand. Inexperienced players can also enjoy the game as it involves lots of luck. They are in full control of how they choose to arrange their cards for each hand. Therefore, they can determine their fate in this game by figuring out the ideal combination of cards for each hand. The rules of the game A maximum of four players can participate in this game. Two or three people can also participate. After the players have arranged their cards into different hand groups, they can Surrender or play their hand. The rest of the players will reveal their cards clockwise, starting from the left of the dealer. There are two variations of this game, namely OFC poker and pineapple. There are a few rules to remember while playing the game: 1.Winning Outright: If any player makes three straights or flushes in three hands, they win the entire hand outright by default. The rest of the player’s hands do not matter. Three units are scooped from each of the players who have not surrendered. 2.Surrendering: The rule is optional and should be decided amongst the players before the game commences. One of the players pays a predetermined amount without playing a hand against the opponents.

  3. Foul: If any of the players place their cards in the wrong order (either by mixing the hand strengths, or not having a higher value of the 5 card hand than the 3 card hand) then, that player pays an amount equal to losing all the 3 hands, to each player. The surrendered players do not get a share of the amount. Players must decide whether the miss-set player is required to play as usual or if the penalty of paying 3 units to each player will suffice for the foul hand. Some interesting points to note In open-face Chinese poker, the second-best hand can still win because it scores over the rest of the players. Each hand is compared directly to another individual. Different values of units are awarded directly between those players, without affecting the rest of them. It is another unique aspect that differentiates the game from other traditional forms of poker.
