Boris Grinchenko Kyiv University In-service Teacher Training Institute ITTI provides annual • teacher developmentcourses for preschool, comprehensive and vocational school teachers numbered over 6800 people in 58 specialties of full-time, part-time and distance education • coordination of teacher development : • 36 subject t city teachers’ associations; • city board of the Heads of DSMC; • 28 original pedagogical centres; • schools of teaching excellence; • Newly-qualifiedteacher schools; • 170 correspondent methodologists • experimental work: • 22 All-Ukrainian experiments – 59 EI(educational institutions); • 62 regional experiments – 161 EI. Professional staff of the ITTI: 47people of academic staff , 45teachers, 6senior science masters

Boris Grinchenko Kyiv University In-service Teacher Training Institute ITTI provides annual • In-service teacher training in the period between courses: • about 300 seminars for 63 teachers’ categories of preschool, comprehensive, vocational and out-of-school education ; • Conferences for research and teaching methods, round tables, webinars, trainings, tutorials. • Methodological support of academic process: • participation in programmesand projects development such as “Me in the World”, “A Child”, “The Open World”, “Metropolitan Education Standard”, “The Education of Kyiv”, “Inclusion Index”; • curriculum development for primary school, Chemistry, Biology, History, Ukrainian, Russian, English, Mathematics, Handicraft; • coursebooksand workbooks design: 32 national and 18 regional coursebooks, about 100 teaching aids are issued annually; • piloting of coursebooksand teaching aids; • preparing materials for the State Final Certification and Independent External Testing.
