How Unskilled Immigrants Hurt our Economy • They come over here to the U.S. illegally. • They get a job. • On the job, they get hurt like Mr. Velasquez did, and he gets full coverage at the hospital. • Not only does he get full coverage at the hospital, but he asks for a disability check from the U.S. because he got hurt on the job.

How does Immigration Affect Americas Identity? • Some say that one may live here, be of any ethnicity and speak any language. • Others say, being an American means that one has freedom of choice, speech, expression, and religion. • 200 years ago Benjamin Franklin wrote a quote about Germany. • “… are the Germans going to Germanize us, before we Americanize them”

  3. Illegal Workers: Good for U.S. Economy • 85% of all new workers are illegal immigrants. • No time in the last 60 years have we come to close this. They are really displacing young workers at a very high rate. • Without the immigrants we would have a decline in the work force of three to four percent. • We could not have grown as much as we did in the 90’s if it wasn’t for immigrant workers.
