  2. Lecherous (adjective) Having or showing excessive or offensive sexual desire Some songs can be described as lecherous.

  3. Provocative (adjective) Causing annoyance, anger, or another strong reaction, especially if it is deliberate. Animal rights groups use provocative pictures of injured animals. His words were provocativeand almost started a fight.

  4. Demure (adjective) Reserved, modest, and shy Her demure behavior caused some to think she was stuck up.

  5. Fatuous (adjective) Silly and pointless Some people say that celebrating Valentine’s Day is fatuous.

  6. Vitality (noun) exuberant physical strength or mental vigor; capacity for survival or for the continuation of a meaningful or purposeful existence; power to live or grow The vitalityof the cactus in the desert is one of the amazing things about nature.

  7. Recede (verb) Go or move back or further away from a previous position The tide waters recede around the same time every day.

  8. Modulate (verb) To exert a modifying or controlling influence on something Teachers try to teach kindergarten students how to modulate their voices for indoor and outdoor situations.

  9. Sulk (verb) To be silent, morose, and bad-tempered out of annoyance or disappointment When his girlfriend of one week broke up with him to go out with someone else, he sulked for a month, which we thought was a bit excessive.
