  2. Gathering Grid • Filling in a gathering grid is one way to collect and organize information for a report. • Look at the details gathered from three sources on the next slide.

  3. Create a gathering grid. • Using the back of your 5 W’s sheet in your packet, list your research questions on the left. • Across the top, list your sources. • Fill in the blocks with answers to your questions.

  8. At 11:30 A.M., Hillary rounded a cornice and found himself looking into Tibet. The ridge they had been climbing now feel steeply away to the North Col and Rongbuk Glacier. To his right was a narrow ridge that led to a snow- covered crest. After chipping steps in the slope, the two climbed to the top. Now, the world fell away from them on all sides. They were on the summit of Everest- the roof of the world. They shook hands, then hugged.
