Hierarchical Clustering of Stable Isotope Ratios in Kelp Bed Taxa from Tomarihama

DESCRIPTION

This study employs Ward’s minimum variance method for hierarchical clustering of stable carbon and nitrogen isotope ratios from 34 taxa found in the kelp bed at Tomarihama. The analysis includes various organisms such as amphipods, Mytilus galloprovincialis, Hermit crabs, and numerous gastropods and echinoderms. By examining isotopic signatures, the research aims to uncover patterns and relationships among benthic organisms in this ecosystem, facilitating understanding of their ecological interactions and nutrient cycling.
