  2. 5 Facts on Photographers • The first color photograph was taken in 1864. • The first person whom managed to make a photographic snapshot was Joseph Niepce. • They began to retouch photos and make them color in 1840. • Appearance of the first plates for photography dated back to 1904. • The basics of a digital camera was invented in 1973.

  3. Salary Ranges • Starting Salaries=> $10,500-21,250 • Top end of profession=>$25,000-65,000

  4. Job Appeal • Taking pictures is something I put my heart into, its become a part of who I am. When I go out and take pictures I feel like I’m actually good at something in my life for once.. I’ve known that I wanted to be a photographer since I was 6 years old and I know that nothing will change my mind about that. People say that taking pictures is easy now days, but there’s more to taking pictures than they think, I put more thought into it I don’t just push a button down.

  5. Job Outlook • Employment of photographers if projected to grow 4 percent from 2010 to 2022. Salaried jobs in particular may be more difficult to find as more companies contract with freelancers rather than hire their own photographer.
