  3. CYBEREDUCATION Background: SEAMEO needs to support and strengthen the economic and social growth of the SEAMEO Member Countries in the transition to the information Society and the New Economy. SEAMEO REGIONAL OPEN LEARNING CENTER

  4. VIRTUAL CAMPUS SEAMOLEC has been assigned to be the coordinator of the Pilot Testing Phase of Virtual Campus SEAMEO REGIONAL OPEN LEARNING CENTER

  13. Computer Management Software • 40s CMS in the world • 6 – 10 of them are good • TopClass, WebCT, Courseinfo(Blackboard’s), Webcourse in a Box, Virtual U, Ecollege, Learning Space, etc. SEAMEO REGIONAL OPEN LEARNING CENTER

Computer Management Software WebCT is the best one (according to the surveys): • The program is easy • Feature rich and open-ended, fair manageable • Reasonably priced, especially for larger number of users • The manual is printed and distributed to all trial participants • Software is updated every 6 months. • Leading provider: 1,578 colleges and Universities, 800 schools, 148,000 faculty members, 6.1 million students accounts in use, 60 countries.
