Where did Football originate from?
  • Football originated from China, Italy, Ancient Greek and Persia and a lot of other countries. This was before England associated Football. When Romans and Ancient Greek had wars they use to play football to warm-up the warriors.

Who made up the first organized set of rules for Football? Why did they do this?
  • The First set off rules was organized by Henry de Winton and John Charles who met at Cambridge College along with a few people to organize the rules, the rules were called “Cambridge Rules” and this happened at 1848.

  • The countries that play Football as their national sport is :
  • 1.) Western Europe (all countries ranging form Norway down to Greece). 2.) South East Asia (Countries ranging from Indonesia to the Thailand)

3.) Middle East (countries like the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq )

Why do you think Football has become so popular around the world?
  • The reason football became so popular around the world is that the rules are really simple, and the materials are really easy to get and anyone can play the game rich or poor , its also a good way to have friends because it has teams and each person has to rely on the other one.

Do you think there are different ways of playing, or styles, of Football in different areas around the world?
  • I think there’s different ways of playing soccer for example in a poor country they would probably use a smaller pitch where a rich country would have bigger pitches. The styles could change for example : Latin players play with confidence, good dribbling techniques where Central America are Crafty, excessive dribblers.
