  1. Suppose you have bought a new car. You went for a ride and while turning or parking, you have hit something which put a scratch on the body. That alone can make your day bad as no one wants to have a scratch on a new car. You will then come out of the car, and try to access from where it may happen. But figuring out is only a part of the process and you are left with a frustration of taking the car again to the garage which you probably bought just a few days prior. Even if the car is old, this frustration will come in which will just multiply multiple folds of the car is new.

  2. Now for small scratches, instead of going to a garage or to the repairman, you yourself may deal with it. It can save you time and lots of money if you indeed know how to do it. The first step is obvious. You’ll need the paint of that color. Though it sounds very simple but you’ll be amazed how much similar colors may have and none suits it because the color

  3. code was different. Hence you need to get the code. You can find the color code in the body or in the manual depending on the company of the car. First, you’ll need to clean the surface. You can use various polishing agents to do it. You should use a microfiber cloth while doing this.

  4. Then take a clean cloth to buff the area dry. You should also clean the area from oil or wax by the solvent. After that, carefully apply primer or color to the scratch. It is overlapping the damaged area but it will blend via next steps. Let the paint cure overnight.

  5. With repetitive steps, apply more paint until the scratch is leveled. Don’t wax for 30 days to wax to escape. Now it’s spray time. Cut a hole in a piece of paper to prevent over spraying. Hold the paper a couple of inches from the body and start to spray. After done, let it dry.

  6. Use sandpaper to sand off any excess. Then do the touch up with At least two coats with 24 hours of the time gap in between them. It’s easy but if it seems too troublesome, then you can opt for people specializing in scratch repair in Vancouver which will make the process easier for you.
