Security Issues and Recommendations for Online Social Networks Online Social Networks or Social Networking Sites (SNSs) are one of the most remarkable technological phenomena of the 21st century, with several SNSs now among the most visited websites globally. Many forms of cyber-bullying behaviour that can be carried out on SNSs. SNSs should be used in a controlled and open way (i.e. not banned or discouraged), with co-ordinated campaigns to educate children, teachers and parents.
