  3. History • Vasona has been developed during the last 20+ years of EMC testing and development. • After using other commercially available packages it was obvious that they do not provide the necessary functionality to effectively test to the wide range of EMC standards.

  4. Functionality, Basic Tests • Radiated Emissions • Radiated Immunity • RF Conducted Immunity • RF Conducted Emission • Other measurement techniques required to operate effective EMC laboratories

  5. Examples of other functions • Measurement processes, manual to complete automation • NSA (typically 30MHz-1GHz) • Insertion loss measurements (using signal generators, reference sources or tracking generators) • Functionality to allow simple confidence check measurements • Amplifier linearity checks • Audio measurements, SPL and Voltage (CISPR 24) • Preselector control • Tower/Turntable speed control • Transducer factor, simple data reduction

  6. Non-std Advanced Features • Network storage of factors files, equipment drivers and templates • Storage of confidence check results on the network for simple recall and trend analysis • Auto update of all network factors • Email of test results • Email of run time problems • Radio measurements • Traffic generator monitor (bit errors etc) • Simple cable replacement

  7. Typical Test Standards • 47CFR15 • GR1089 • CISPR22, CISPR11, CISPR13… • EN55022, EN55011, EN55013.. • EN50130-4, EN60601-1-2... • IEC/EN61000-4-3, IEC/EN61000-4-6 from low frequency - 40GHzusing chambers, OATS, FAR, FSOATS … and other suitable facilities.

PC System Requirements • Windows application, separate tests can be run/opened in each window. • Win2K, WinXP or WinVista, National Instruments Card (IEEE488), Serial Port, Parallel, USB • This is a large application which does need a higher power PC. It can operate on very slow PCs but it does distract from test operation
