  2. Our students • Primary school: • 6 – 13 years old • 1. – 2. grade • 3.-4. grade • 5.-6. grade • 7. grade • One integrated disabled boy 16 years old

Our vision and characteristics VISION: Øvrebygda school should be confident and with high quality and professonal challenges CHARACTERISTICS: • Doing activities together • Lot of space both indoor and outside • Traditional teaching • Good relationship with the parents • Few of the parents have academic background

  4. New curriculum 2006 • Earlier curriculum –saying what the teachers are going to teach • The new curriculum- telling us what the students are going to learn • Goals for knowledge after 2. 4. and 7. grade

  5. Our development plan Focuson: • Workingwithassessment for learning(no marks in theprimaryschool in Norway) • The school as a culturalmeetingplace in thevillage • Using computer in theeducation(we have not come far)

  6. Your visit • 9 -9.20 The local principal of school Edvin Aase and headmaster Sigbjørn Aarland inform you • 9.20 -9.30 Guided tour at school • 9.30 – 10.00 Visiting the students in 5.6.7.classes • 10.00 -1025 Break • 10.30 – 11.00 Performance in the gymnasium
