  1. What is an Individual Living Option (ILO) And How Can It Work for You? When starting a new chapter in your life, you must get all the information and tools to succeed. It is, therefore, a wise choice to utilise the NDIS support coordination and Individualised Living Option when looking for a new home and living arrangement. The NDIS support coordination is tasked with ensuring you have a safe living situation with all the support you can have. Individualised Living Option focuses on ensuring that the where, when and who details about your home are covered. ILO fulfils all its duties in that they offer you the following choices for your convenience:

  2. • You can choose to have a family host you in a home equipped with all the support you need. • You are at liberty to live by yourself with the necessary support tools • You can share a home with your friends or family All the options listed above are part of the NDIS support coordination plan to ensure that you are comfortable in a home that suits all your needs. So why do ILO run so smoothly? The main reason behind this efficiency of support is that they encourage input from all relevant parties, including you, your family and friends. ILO and NDIS support coordination aims to improve your quality of life, bring you closer to people, and establish a well- connected community that can offer you other support when needed. There are two main stages of the ILO process: 1. Firstly, you will need to determine the kind of support you need and how you want them planned out. This is a crucial stage of the process that involves decisions like who you want to provide the support for you and where you will live. Although not as urgent, it is essential to think about this first step carefully and thoroughly. 2. Secondly, your home is fitted with all the support you require as stipulated in the first process. You should note that the supports offered are dependent on how and where you choose to live.

  3. If you realise you may need more or different supports after your home is set up, the ILO will be glad to assist in making the relevant changes. How do you assess our eligibility for the Individual Living Option? ILO will be an excellent fit for you if: • Our daily routine requires more than six hours of assistance • You are at least eighteen years old • You are prepared to take the necessary steps for your living needs and your new home. • The people in your inner circle, mostly family and friends, participate in the process. It is recommended that you consult with those closest to you to get the best home for you during this process. Powered By Powered By
