QoS-Based Routing Frameworkdraft-ietf-qosr-framework-02.txt Eric Crawley (esc@argon-net.com) Raj Nair (nair@arrowpoint.com) Bala Rajagopalan (braja@ccrl.nj.nec.com) Hal Sandick (sandick@vnet.ibm.com) IETF, Washington, DC 1
Status • Very minor changes to draft • Ready for Working Group Last Call after IETF meeting • Last call will be issued 12/15/97 and expire on 1/12/98 modulo any serious comments or problems that come up today IETF, Washington, DC 2
Summary of Changes • New introductory paragraphs on • Best Effort and QoS-Based Routing • QoS-Based Routing and Resource Reservation • Lots of minor cleanups and edits IETF, Washington, DC 3
Comments Received that are considered “Last Call” comments • A paragraph on Path Aggregation was missed in the last round of editing (send to mailing list?) • Perhaps more verbage is needed to say that Class/TOS based routing is a solved problem but not widely deployed currently • e.g. OSPF TOS-based routing • IDRP features • It is too early to talk about QoS routing for Differential Services at this time IETF, Washington, DC 4
