Join Tha Good 'Ole Boys—Cole Loveday, Andrew Wilson, Zach Dyer, and Phillip Cutler—as they embark on a creative construction journey. Inspired by simplicity and reliability, the team builds a Rube Goldberg machine using hot wheels tracks and scrap materials sourced from EST 13. With a successful design and efficient construction process, they complete the project in just 48 hours. The device activates through gravitational energy, setting off a chain reaction of dominoes and cars, showcasing their innovative spirit and teamwork.

Construction The design was relatively simple, but it was a very reliable design. We mainly used hot wheels tracks and scraps that we found in EST 13. Since we were familiar with power tools, construction time went from countless days of work to just 48 hours.
Materials • $3.50 • $2.00 • $0.60 • $3.00 • $3.00 • $2.00 • $5.00 • tracks • 2- cars • 6 dominoes • Plywood base (1x1)m • Other wood parts • 1.5’- PVC Sch40 Pipe • Miscellaneous Parts $19.10
Overview Once the device is triggered, gravitational energy accelerates us down the track and through our tunnel. Then our car triggers a rotational device that knocks over the first domino. The last domino land on a lever which then triggers our second car. This car then rolls down the ramp and triggers the next team.
