My notes on California • Location: United States of America, bordered by Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona. • Geographic Features: Mountains, lakes, valleys, deserts, and forests. • Characteristics of CA.: 36,756,666 population, Golden Gate Bridge, casinos, Hollywood sign, hotels, pollution • Human-Environmental Interactions: Flood control dams, construction, pollution, hunting, fishing, and hiking. • Regions: National Parks, mountains, lakes, ocean, volcanos, and deserts.

My notes on Ireland • Location: It’s a skip and a hop to the west of U.K. and is a large island in the Atlantic Ocean. • Geographic Features: Low central plains, the ocean, coastal mountains, beaches, and seas of rocks • Characteristics of Ireland:plains, beachs, astounding agriculture, and endless seas of green grass. • Human-Environmental Interactions: Castles, villages, tourism, beach homes, estates, fishing, and rich farming. • Regions: North: mountains, rocks, valleys, coasts, and small lakes. Central: hills, coasts, plateaus, oceans, small lakes, rivers, and plains. North: mountains, rivers, waterfalls, small lakes, beaches, ocean, and plains.

  4. My Notes on Alaska • Geographic Features: Brooks, mountain ranges, volcanos, gulfs, the Arctic Ocean, tundras, and forests Regions: Inside Passage: islands, shoreline, and forests. Southern Alaska: Forests, rugged coasts, and mountains. Interior: mountains, forests, and the aurora borealis. Western: islands, mountains, and forests. North: the aurora borealis forests, arcttic area, mountains, and the arctic ocean. • Characteristics of Alaska: Large, unpopulated, snowy, pretty, scenic, freezing, and lacks roads • Human-Environmental Interactions: fishing, oil exploration, tourism (most likely rare tourism, I might add), and hunting • Location: Only a few miles east of Russia, and other than a small sliver of land along the coast, completely separated from the rest of the USA. Bordered only by Canada.

My Notes on Canada Ey? • Location: Canada is bordered by Alaska, Washington, Utah, Montana, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Maine, North Dakota, and New York • Geographic Features: forests, islands, mountains, rivers, arctic ocean, and the Great Lakes • Characteristics of Canada: Cold, forests, mountains, Niagara Falls, provinces (CanadianStates), Toronto, and accents. • Human-Environmental Interactions: Huge energy users, fishing, hunting, and agriculture • Regions: West: Forests, mountains, volcanoes, coasts, valleys, deserts, and prairies. East: Oceans, forests, lakes, mountains, islands, hills, valleys, andrivers

  6. My Notes On France • Location: France is bordered by Germany,Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Monaco, Andorra, and Luxenborg. It’s right by the Atlantic Ocean, and is a boat ride away from England. • Geographic Features: mountains, rivers, and the Atlantic Ocean. Really.. That’s ALL of the geographicfeatures ofFrance! • Characteristics of France: 2/3 of France are mountains and hills, Mediterranean coast, French Riviera, Eifel Tower, Cathedral of Notre Dame, Louvre, and the Arc De Triomphe. • Human-Environmental Interactions: Wine, and are very industrial • Regions: Metropolitan France is divided into 22 regions. These Regions are (in alphabetic order) Alsace, Aquitaine, Auvergne, Bourgogne, Bretagne, Centre, Champagne-Ardenne, Corse, Franche-Comté, Ile-de-France, Languedoc-Roussillon, Limousin, Lorraine, Midi-Pyrénées, Nord-pas-de-Calais, Normandie(Basse), Normandie (Haute), Pays de la Loire, Picardie, Poitou-Charentes, Provence-Alps-Côte D'Azur, Rhône-Alpes.
