Men's Shed Movement: Promoting Community Support and Social Enterprise

Established in Australia in 2006, the Men's Shed movement has expanded to locations in England, Wales, Ireland, and Scotland. Offering a space in suburbs like Sydney for retired men to engage in woodworking, fly-tying, painting, and decorating activities, this initiative has grown to involve over 28 men, twice weekly. With the support of organizations like STRiVE, Men's Sheds play a crucial role in combating isolation, promoting physical and mental well-being, and fostering intergenerational activities. Explore the benefits, equipment needs, and shed forms to participate in this impactful community endeavor.
