Hadid has designed many buildings, such as the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, (shown top-right) and the Legacy Roof, made to house the Aquatic Centre for the London Olympics, (shown bottom-right).
Hadid uses a very free flowing style, with a lot of curves and rounded edges, with the buildings generally being quite low and spread out. Her style has been described as Neofuturistic, implying a belief in a release of emotion.
Her structures generally have multiple focal points and fragmented geometry intended to “evoke the chaos of modern life”. Hadid generally colours her structures with either white or crème.
