  5. He is Patiently Gracious How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the miraculous signs I have performed among them? Numbers 14:11

  6. “The LORD is gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion.” Numbers 14:18

  7. He is Patiently Slow to Anger But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Nehemiah 9:17 You gave them kingdoms and nations You made their sons as numerous as the stars in the sky They took possession of the land They captured fortified cities They ate to the full and were well-nourished

  8. They were disobedient They killed your prophets They committed awful blasphemies You handed them over to their enemies They cried out to you You gave them deliverers, who rescued them

  9. As soon as they were at rest, they again did what was evil in your sight You abandoned them to the hand of their enemies They cried out to you again You delivered them time after time But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God Nehemiah 9:21-31

  10. He is Patiently Abounding in Love O LORD, is this not what I said when I was still at home? That is why I was so quick to flee to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. Jonah 4:2 The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. Psalms 145:8.

  11. He is Patiently Faithful But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Psalm 86:15

  12. Hear, O LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Guard my life, for I am devoted to you. You are my God; save your servant who trusts in you. Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I call to you all day long. Bring joy to your servant, for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you. Hear my prayer, O LORD; listen to my cry for mercy.

  13. God’s Patient Waiting For Unbelievers The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation. 2 Peter 3:9 &15

  14. For Believers Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity. Joel 2:13.
