  5. 2.3 Visualizing Data • The graph above is an example of a linear relationship. The variables are directly proportional. • Equation has the form y=mx+b • The slope, m = rise/run or ∆y/∆x • The y-intecept, b is the point where the graph crosses the y-axis (vertical).
