Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) was founded at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1904 by Maurice Carr There are now about 200 chapters at universities across the U.S. and we are currently expanding into Canada There are about 300,000 members HKN members serve the community, university, and department in various activities. HKN is merged with and operated by the IEEE. History

  9. Dues: $70 Lifetime membership Cost includes: 1 year IEEE membership 1 year digital edition of Bridge magazine Banquet (yourself + 2 guests) Member certificate Pin is optional $25. Costs

  10. Three components: Test Faculty Signature Sheet 2 Hours Service Most Outstanding Initiate Person with best combination of test score and faculty signatures. Free HKN pin and recognition. Entrance Requirements

  11. Enter your HKN member information online (By Mar. 3) We will email you the address of a web form. Fill the form out and submit. Include your IEEE member number, if you are a member. Membership includes 1 free year of IEEE membership Pay membership dues (Due Mar. 3) $70 lifetime dues. Cash or check made out to “Eta Kappa Nu”. Give to Dr. Graham or Dr. Valenti Turn in your other materials by Apr. 17: Test (answer sheet only). Signature sheet. Cover of the info packet showing you did your 2 hours service. If you want to go to the banquet, register by Apr. 5. Will send out banquet registration information How to Join

Induction and Banquet • April 21 is the induction ceremony: (Tentative) • 4:45 PM arrive at G39 • 5:00 PM induction ceremony (guests allowed) • 6:00 PM reception @ TBD • 7:00 PM banquet @ TBD • Some details: • Register for banquet in advance. • Two free guests at banquet. • Guests encouraged at induction. • Business attire strongly encouraged. • Induction ceremony is required: • You are not a member until you are inducted.
