The History Of TOGAF

The Open Group Architecture Framework, or TOGAF for short, is meant to serve as a common method for creating and implementing architectures for very large computer systems. 80 percent of the Global 50 corporations today use TOGAF. Despite its strength, TOGAF cannot be used in every circumstance. The fundamentals of the framework and the current compromises must be understood by anyone contemplating the TOGAF. 1. The History Of TOGAF The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), which offers a method for developing, planning, implementing, and regulating an enterprise information technology architecture, is the most popular framework for enterprise architecture as of 2020. The Open Group has expanded TOGAF, which was first introduced in the early 1990s as a methodology for the creation of technical architecture, into a comprehensive enterprise architecture framework. The original TOGAF (TOGAF 1.0) was released in 1995. In December 2002, TOGAF 8 ("Enterprise Edition") was released for the first time. In December 2003, TOGAF 8.1 was released with updates. The Open Group registered TOGAF as a trademark around 2005. The Open Group published TOGAF 8.1.1 in November 2006. Over 15,000 people were TOGAF Certified as of February 2011, according to The Open Group. Over 77,500 certifications were listed in the official register as of April 2018. TOGAF encourages adaptability. The iterative approach, a key element of Agile, is accepted by TOGAF. In TOGAF, there is a chapter named "Applying Iteration to the ADM" that covers the purpose of iteration and how to apply it to the Application Development Model. DevOps can also be supported by TOGAF. ashishtandon.com
