    20. Safe and Drug Free general comments (related to federal funds): What are the priorities if general funds support some of these programs? CTED is ONLY the fiscal agent for this program. The Washington State’s U.S. Attorney (Eastern District) is the owner of this program and makes all programmatic decisions. CTED administers the contracting and reimbursements and makes submittals of program reports to the feds (BJA). I don’t know whether CTED can spend state money on the federal U.S. Attorney’s Office. We could fund the same kind of projects for the state by making state money available to the federal program as a state matching fund. The current funded year is FFY ’07 for $323,742. If we supplement, what would the cost be? How would we do it? We don't know at this time. Juli: For Dan and SDFC slides generally: How do we communicate the financial need of your programs to the legislature? Please prioritize the federal programs at risk of losing funding and propose what the state could do to assist. Dan: Can do it in a week. Jan Marie: Please prioritize, don’t just tally the need and list programs.
