  2. Need or Problem • People unable to leave their bed or wheelchair for health reasons • They need assistance to get out of the bed or chair

  3. Solution • RI-MAN can lift a patient from a bed or chair • RI-MAN can carry a patient to another location

  4. How it works • A nurse can control RI-MAN to lift a patient out of bed so that the sheets can be changed

  5. Technical Specifications • Two arms driven by six motors • Tactile sensors • 15 individual motor control processors
