  2. Wall Cleaner As with any painting project, you want to start with a clear canvas. It is vital to have your walls properly cleaned of dirt, dust, grime or old wallpaper bits before you begin. This will ensure that your paint adheres to the wall properly and will prevent tiny bubbles from forming on the surface. Any wall cleaning chemical spray will suffice along with a soft and gentle sponge and some water. Be sure to let the walls dry after cleaning them before beginning to paint.

  3. The tape is required during most painting jobs as they help you create boundaries between the walls you are painting and the walls you are leaving blank. They also block paint from getting on outlets or any other obstructions on your walls. You will find home goods stores that sell professional-grade painter’s tape at exorbitant prices, but the truth is any type of strong masking tape will work just fine. The technique in which it is applied is more important than the quality. Painter’s Tape

  4. Brushes This one is quite self-explanatory but then in saying that, there are too many options out there to be able to distinguish which ones you will really need and which ones you can skip. Synthetic or acrylic brushes are great for painting wood and furniture with water-based interior paints. This is because they have smooth and springy bristles that give you an even finish. Masonry brushes have longer bristles and a firmer texture. These are better suited towards exterior bricks.

  5. Painting is a messy activity, and you want to be sure no paint is spilled onto your beautiful hardwood floors. Disposable, plastic floor covers will do the job just fine but if you envisage yourself engaging in future painting projects, canvas covers will last much longer. They are also safer as they provide a better grip and will prevent you from tripping and falling. Drop Cloths
