  8. Gender and Number • In Spanish, most adjectives take the gender and number of the noun that they modify. • If a regular adjective modifies a masculine noun, it will end with “O.” If a regular adjective modifies a feminine noun, it will end with “A.” • If the noun is singular, so is the adjective. If the noun is plural, so is the adjective.

  9. More on Number • If the adjective ends in a vowel, then add “s” to make it plural. • Las camisasrojas • If the adjective ends in a consonant, add “es” to make it plural. • Las camisasazules

  10. More on Gender • If an adjective ends in “o,” change it to “a” to make it feminine. • La camisaroja • If an adjective ends in “e,” it does not change between masculine and feminine. • La camisaverde • If the adjective ends in a consonant, it does not change between masculine and feminine. • La camisaazul
