  2. TEST FOR STARCH Starch powder (+- 3 teaspoons required) Test tube containing starch solution (starch + warm water) Test tube containing starch solution + iodine solution Test tube rack Iodine solution Glass beaker containing warm water Teaspoon Pipette containing Iodine

  3. TEST FOR GLUCOSE Beaker containing boiling water Test tube containing glucose solution (water + glucose powder) Test tube containing glucose solution submerged in boiling water Glucose powder (+- 1 teaspoon required) Test tube rack Teaspoon Benedicts Solution Pipette containing Benedicts solution

  4. TEST FOR PROTEINS Test tube containing egg white (albumen protein) Test tube containing egg white + copper sulphate + sodium hydroxide (Biuret Test) Dropping pipette Copper sulphate solution Sodium Hydroxide Test tube rack

  5. TEST FOR FATS (Part 1) Test tube containing oil + ethanol Test tube rack Cooking oil Methylated Spirits (can be used instead) Dropping pipette Ethanol

  6. TEST FOR FATS (Part 2) Translucent patch Circle made using a pen Filter paper
