National context in which CONACADO had been created • The local market was controled by 3 big companies family owned. • Only unfermented beans (Sanchez) was produced and traded to the USA exclusively. • The price was set at -$240 per mt at NYICE. • Total absence of services and training or incentives to producers. • Non support from the government.
