  2. Pre-reading Activity A (3.3.1) Label the insects using the phrases given.

  4. While Reading Activity A (3.8) Read the story and as you read , find the answers to the questions at the side of the text. 1. What did the ant do during summer? 2. Why did the leaves turn brown and fall to the ground?

  5. 3. Why did Cricket go to Ant’s house?

  6. While Reading Activity B (3.6) Read the story again. Complete the table to describe the characters of the ant and the cricket. Use the words given to help you.

  8. Post Reading Activity B (3.9.6 & 3.9) Group discussion. 1. The cricket did not store food for himself during winter. He was starving. What does the incident teach you as pupils? What do you think will happen if the ant did not store enough food for winter? 2.
