  1. Tension… again… Friday, 14 November 2014

  2. TASK: • You have been asked to contribute to a class anthology entitled “A sense of danger.” • Choosing a time in your life when you felt threatened or very afraid or in danger, write about that episode aiming to recreate the fear, tension and sense of danger of that time. • Organise, vary sentence length, punctuate

  3. What sort of writing is this?

  4. Planning: • Storyboard? Flow chart? Time line? Your choice really. Remember to use some key words or phrases even at this stage. • Remember the features for creating tension from earlier this term. • Remember to punctuate for tension. Dashes are wonderful for creating images – suddenly!

  5. Introductions • For the next 15 minutes, start to write your introductions. There is no need to hurry, this work will be completed over a long period of time. • Now swap with your neighbour…

  6. Award: • 2 gold stars for 2 things to praise in the writing. • 1 “window” for an opportunity to improve. • We will share some of the work if you think it is particularly impressive.
