  1. Internship April 2013-June 2013 What I have accomplished as an intern for The Foothill College Center for a Sustainable Future

  2. Jumping In... Updating Old Pages: -Facebook -Twitter

  3. Making Friends When I started we had 17 friends on the Foothill Center for a Sustainable Future FB Page now we have...

  4. Posting

  5. Earth Justice Day

  6. Participating in event conversation Interviewing peers about the theme Working closely with Scott Lankford Attending planning meetings Earth Justice Day • Contacting Non Profit Organisations to attend • Working with Classes to ready exhibits • Setting up • Bringing films for show • Passing out flyers

  7. Me and Princess Gaia at EJD! • The Earth Justice Day Event was a success. Foothill Students learned to create change and help others students learn about the injustices of slavery. • Personal experience taught me what working with others on a large scale event was like as well as how the media side of the event worked.

  8. Creating Flyers

  9. My Article in the Sustainability Newsletter • Different sources of energy • What they are and how they work

  10. "Thinking about the environment and my affect on it has been an ongoing process. Beginning to see the world and have appreciation for it has turned from thinking I have to help so I can still see natural beauty to the natural beauty should be preserved so people can learn from it, so people can grow. What does gas have to do with seeing the natural world this way? Every time black oily sludge is pumped into my car I feel the black sludge of guilt. Being a novice in many things, I did not know if there were options; Especially ones that I could afford as a now college student. I knew there were things like solar and wind energy but are there more? Why do I not know about them?"-The Selfish Activist

  11. For the next Intern that takes up this mantle... I suggest a few things; • Keep up on your posts and friend requests • Have a phone where you get email • Enjoy the process " This department has been welcoming in my willingness to learn about sustainability and what that means to the Foothill College Student. Working for this department has given me a new approach to how to connect people and our planet through media and event planning. The learning and growth during this internship has provided me with new tools for living a sustainable life. ” - Ellora
