  3. LAA Finance: Financial Management & Business Partnering (October 2016) Financial Management and Business Partnering is responsible for the timely delivery of the monthly Management Accounts. We produce monthly forecasts for legal aid, quarterly work in progress (WIP) figures for financial accounts and internal and external analysis of fund schemes and policy impacts. The team work with the wider Agency in preparation of budgets, provide financial tracking and challenge across business as usual and change activity and work closely with other areas of the LAA to develop investment business cases and to track associated savings.

LAA Finance: Financial Accounts (October 2016) Financial Accounting is responsible for the Production of quarterly and annual financial statements of the LAA, Payment of Providers, provision of weekly remittances, monthly statements and any other information required to assist Providers in understanding amounts paid and due to them.

  5. LAA Finance: Recovery Services (October 2016) Recovery Services is responsible for the efficient and effective administration and collection of civil debts due to the LAA. The portfolio splits into 4 segments: Secured Statutory Charge, Provider Debts, Unsecured Civil Debts and (a few) criminal debts arising from the Recovery of Defence Costs Orders. At c£300m gross, this represents around 1% of all debts owed to the Government.

  6. LAA Finance: Statistics & Analysis team (October 2016) The Statistics & Analysis team produce and publish the LAA’s quarterly Official Statistics. They lead on the Agency’s public use of statistics and collaborate across the organisation on data improvement, analysis and transparency. They also answer most Finance or statistics-related PQs, FOIs and other requests, and provide other analysis of fund schemes. • This team to report jointly to the LAA Finance team and MoJ Chief Statistician
