Action discussion from WGISS 18 • Agencies submit their list of formats with (agency, data type, format, URL or Document) by Feb 1, 2005 to archive@wgiss.ceos.org • ATT will publish the list on the Web at http://wgiss.ceos.org/tssg/archive.html • ATT will present results of action at WGISS – 19 and recommend next steps.

  3. Actual Action #18-31 • ATT will coordinate the development of data format usage list among the CEOS members: • Using the suggested attribution developed at WGISS 18. • Send (by 1 October) these attributes to: Chuang Liu, Paul Kopp, Wyn Cudlip, Ivan Petiteville, Ken McDonald, Pakorn Apaphant to try out and send comment back to the ATT by 15 October. • Comments from the trial run will be incorporated by 1 November. • Solicitation for format attribution will be sent to the CEOS members to be completed by 1 January 2005.

  5. Three agency replies with formats • USGS NDF, Fast L7, Fast B, Fast C, HDF-EOS, TIFF, GeoTIFF, FRED, LACS Formatted, LACS, Raw, MSS-X • JAXA HDF, Native Binary, FAST, GeoTIFF, CEOS, CAP • NOAA/NCDC Mode A, Mode AA, Mode AAA, GVAR, Level 1B, HDF5 • Also attribution was not very complete

  6. Next Steps?? • Does not seem to be much interest. • However, since original example that I sent may have been misleading • And with your encouragement and your commitment to obtain the inputs from your agencies. • Another solicitation could be made. • ??? Your thoughts/Suggestions ???
